Doctor's Appointment Part 1

Oh my my myyyyy...what a hectic day..I think my cheek is burning like grilled prawn..*wah tetap nak tukar peribahasa melayu dlm english..kuang3x..

I was back and forth from Hospital pantai Ampang ..Semenyih..KL...Kajang...KL...*sedap claim mileage niiii!!



Okay..back to the topic...I met Dr. Suhaimi...very supportive and he's really happy to see me.. *maybe dia happy setiap kali jumpa semua patient...x kan nk wat tak happy...ye dak..heheh

So he did TVS..TransVaginaScan...when it comes to this part..I'm a bit fobia sikit.....tho I know it wont hurt me or anthying..tapi i felt like tingling ..and not comfortable..


Moving forward, doctor scanned my right and left ovary...after taking 100mg of Clomid from CD2 - CD6..the result is..jeng jeng jeng:


Right Ovary: 3 dominant Follicles  *Yippieeee
Left Ovary: 1 dominant Follicles ...*Alooooo :(


As you all know, I'm having PCOS at my left side..so..I'm not surprised when the left ovary manages to groom 1 dominant follicle je...


First I'm gonna talk about Endometrium (dinding rahim..this is where fertilized eggs is implanted). *See below 

The thicker the better...but remember..Clomid tends to thinning your endometrium (endo)..so it is crucial for the doctor to check the endo lining ..according to him, from endo, he can anticipate whether the ovaries are doing the job or not..


My endometrium lining is: 0.498 cm/ 0.5 cm... He says that endometrium should be at least 1cm  to achieve pregnancy..


I'm quite worry coz mine was less than 1 cm.but he said that this is the figure that I should have during CD10, its normal since the endo is still developing the lining. I am far from ovulation process yet.. Based on his calculation..I will get my lining more than 1 cm by the time I'm ovulating which takes place for another 3-4 days..*paling cepat la tuu

Pheww..so its normal...*saja tau doctor buat I panic..ehehhe

After that he kept on digging and godek godek  my right ovary..left, right , up, and down..I was bit comfortable but manageable.

It takes about 30-40 seconds for him to find it..*Ovie deary...Don't you play hide and seek with mama..its not funny...

Ah..finally..

Doctor:  "Okay, you got 3 dominant follicle on your right..which is great! and you got 1 small follicle and I don't think she's gonna actively growing...the size for dominants... let see" *(He asked Ms Halma, her assistant to wrote down the size)

"1st Follicle: 1.44 cm/ 1.14 cm" (This is equal to 14mm)

"2nd Follicle : 1.40 cm / 1.26 cm" (This is equal to 14mm)

3rdF Follicle:  1.1 cm / 0.87 cm" (This is equal to 10-11mm)

Doctor again:  "Now let see our left ovary..Oh you got only 1 follicle. The size is 1.6cm/ 1.28cm *This is equal to 16mm

Hmmmmm....................

Me: " So doctor...is it good? 

Doctor: "Yes it's good and your ovary responding very well except for left ovary..only manage to groom 1 follicle..not to worry..this is normal..your left is PCOS..so quite degil..."

So I started to ask lot of question..and he answerd all of them patiently... :D

Me: "Doctor, bila follicle tu tu dikira ready untuk pecahkan telor dalam tu"

Doctor : "Between 1.8cm ke 2.5cm..or 18mm ke 25mm

Me: Tapi I punya kebanyakan lebeh kurang 14mm..camna doctor..?
Doctor: Ok la tu..baru CD10..ovulation you x sampai masa lagi...x matang lagi ni..

Me: Agak2 brapa lama doctor nak matang ek?
Doc: Ikutkan size sekarang , say another 4 days? Kita tengok balik lusa..CD16..

....And I'm getting excitedddd...

Me: So doctor, kalau CD14 dah matang...boleh la I wat IUI...
Doc: Boleh ..x ada masalah..kejap I tengok calendar *Looking at his calendar and start to count the day

Doc: So ikutkan 8th December.. Hari Sabtu..you come to hospital if good to go..then I will cucuk pregnyl for you......oooohhhh.........
Me: Napa ohhhhh doc....?

Doctor: I cuti la 8hb ni...I holiday..pi Australiaaaaa
Me: Alaaaa yekkkeeeee bila you balik....*I felt like crying..Inner me was crying hysterically!!!

Doc: 11 haribulan baru start kerja..
Me : Then how doctor?

Doc: Its okay..you come at  CD12 and CD13..if matured enough..I will give you pregnyl and you make love 36 hours after..do it naturally 1st..who knows..you might get lucky...*Doc..sadly..lucky is not my name and not my bff either!
Me: Then, what if on CD12 and CD 13 not matured enough..how am I going to get pregnyl..

Doc: If that's the case..I will give you the pregnyl for you to do it at any clinics on 9th or 10th..do it naturally after that..kita tengok dulu hari khamis dan jumaat ni dulu..ok?
Me: OKAY DOC.. *a bit down...

Hmmm...but knowing me...do you think I would just give up ???

Ain't me!!

I WILL GIVE MY VERY BEST SHOT BEFORE GIVING UP!!

So after I left the hospital..my brain working sooo hard..what should I do..I need to do IUI..but where?? 

I called Kelinik Hamid Arshat ...their answer: "Next appointment for IUI can only be done February 2013"  *Fully occupied until this coming Feb??!!..Tidakkkkk....!

I called Metro Hospital , Klang (Well known for IUI and IVF). Their answer: "Sure, but please bring reference letter from your doctor. The cost will be RM1,700 without consultation.." *Dafuqqqq??

IUI..cost that much...oh yes..Metro range for IUI is from RM1,500 to RM 5,000...dafuq again....so expensive...

I called CC Chung Gynaecology & Assisted Reproduction @PNB Park*This will be my place for IVF if I failed IUI..He's well known as "Father of baby tube among Chinese TTC Community" and he's a friend of my dear doctor.

Their answer: "Sure no problem..You come down tomorrow at 11.45am, we are quite full..but we can slot it for you..The consultation will be less than RM300 and IUI procedure would be RM800... "*Now , that's better..at least...so I booked the slot but still kept my option open...

Out of the blue..suddenly I remembered about my very soft spoken gynea, Dr. Jaafar who helped me to go thorugh my D&C during my 1st miscarriage early of this year...*How on earth I forgot about himmm???? He's at Tawakal Hospital Jalan Pahang and like sekankang kera from my house????

I called him...and her assistant forward my call to him..*.how.i .missed . his tender and loving voice..

He asked a bit about my history..and he remembers me...!it was like 9 month ago? *Maybe because of my spanish-alike name..hahaha

He says : "Sure.. tak ada masalah...since you baru Day10, I sempat monitor you, you come to my office..and we do TVS..from there, I will advice you when to take pregnyl and do it IUI with me..."

Me:  " If you dont mind, how much ya doc? Coz I want to pay all cash..I need to bring the money..."

He says:  "Sperm wash around RM100-RM120  RM85..IUI around 350..maybe you shuld bring RM 500?"

WHATAAAAA.....!!!

I have this very reasonable price...I'm so super happy!! *Hospital Pantai Ampang also more or less around that price..maybe slightly higher by RM100-RM200 ..

So I called my husband..he said okay...and I know it's hard for him you know..to wake up early..being instructed by me..being grumpy...so I bait him with giving :

1. 2 CD game of PS3, he can choose any CD he wants...

2. Will give 1 PRADA wallet for him.. (he's kind of not interested..thank god!!)

He just said.."I nak nak nak CD game tu.....but I dont want Prada..I'm no faggot...I want you to buy me super fatty crab dinner..@lot10.. *he's big eater..aww well..he's soooo naive...it costs me less than 

RM 200 je kottt .hahahha!! Done!!!

So tomorrow gonna see Dr Jaafar...will update ya all tomorrow okayz
